Unique Technology

In the production process of sulfuric acid, acidic and toxic gases are emitted into the environment, mainly including sulfur dioxide (SO2), sulfur trioxide (SO3) and sulfuric acid fog. These gases in the atmosphere not only pollute the environment, but also cause negative effects on human health. According to the national standard "Petrochemical Combustible Gas and Toxic gas detection alarm Design Standard" (GB/T50493-2019), since 2020, China has implemented strict detection standards for toxic acidic gases emitted by the petroleum industry. The sulfuric acid industry, as a part of the petrochemical field, should also comply with the relevant requirements of this standard for the detection of combustible gases and toxic gases. In addition, in order to reduce the environmental pollution caused by sulfuric acid production, China has implemented the "Emission Standards for Pollutants in the Sulfuric Acid Industry" (GB26132-2010), which put forward strict requirements for the emission of acid gases and toxic pollutants in the sulfuric acid industry. These requirements include emission limits for pollutants such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) and sulfuric acid fog, as well as regulations on unorganized emission limits for air pollutants at enterprise boundaries. The maximum allowable emission concentration of SO2 gas in the newly built sulfuric acid plant is 400mg/m3, which is significantly reduced compared with the past, aiming at reducing environmental pollution. Not only new enterprises need to meet this standard, but also existing enterprises need to gradually meet and maintain this emission standard through technological transformation and upgrading. The environmental protection department will also regularly monitor the acid toxic gas emissions of enterprises to ensure that they comply with standards. However, in the process of conversion analysis in acid production, a large amount of acidic toxic gas will be released. The World Health Organization's International Center for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified sulfuric acid as a G1 carcinogen, which is directly judged to be an extremely harmful medium. Therefore, when performing conversion rate analysis, the analyst is exposed to a large amount of acid fog, which is extremely dangerous to physical health and poses a cancer risk. According to statistics, a set of equipment leaks about 2800m3 of acidic toxic gas into the environment during the annual conversion rate analysis, which not only pollures the environment, but also affects the economic benefits of enterprises. To solve the above problems, a new type of LQ gas closed sampler is proposed. The equipment can completely solve the problem of leakage of a large amount of acidic toxic gas in the process of traditional flue gas analysis, which not only improves the accuracy of data analysis and the operation efficiency of the device, but also ensures the safe and pollution-free production of the device.

In the traditional flue gas analysis process, the experimental operation platform is covered with complicated pipeline equipment and the placement is unreasonable, resulting in limited experimental operation space, which has a negative impact on the operator's analysis work and may interfere with the accuracy of the experimental data. In addition, during the sampling and analysis phase, there is often a large amount of acidic toxic gas leakage, which not only causes pollution to the environment, but also corrodes the production equipment, and long-term exposure to these gases may pose a serious threat to the health of the analyst.

Characteristics Of Flue Gas Sealed Sampler

The physical drawing and structural diagram of the LQ gas closed sampler reveal that the equipment is mainly composed of the level table, exhaust fan, flow meter, pressure gauge, analysis port, operation table and analysis gas inlet. Its design adopts pendulum structure, which can centrally handle up to 10 analytical flue gas, and meet various analytical requirements such as sulfur acid flue gas acid production and pyrite acid production. The device is compact in structure, reasonable in layout and easy to install and maintain. Key components are mostly made of corrosion-resistant materials such as 304 or 316 stainless steel, ensuring long-term stable operation in acidic gas environments. Thanks to its structural characteristics, the sampler can be installed anywhere within 0 m of the converter, making it easy for the analyst to operate. In contrast, Figure B shows how the LQ flue gas closed sampler completely solves the problem of unorganized gas leakage during flue gas analysis in sulphuric acid plants. It is estimated that the device can reduce the acid toxic gas discharged into the environment during the annual conversion analysis of a sulfuric acid plant by about 2,800 cubic meters, equivalent to 1.4 tons of sulfuric acid/year. Therefore, the application of the equipment will effectively solve the problems of large amount of acidic toxic gas leakage, sampling pipeline blockage and environmental pollution in the traditional flue gas analysis process. Designed specifically for conversion analysis, the LQ gas closed sampler integrates acidic toxic gas recovery from sampling lines, anti-clog lines, analysis flow control, and precision regulation to reduce analysis time and analyst workload. In addition, the sampler uses analytical flow precision regulation technology to provide the analyst with precisely controlled flow to ensure accurate measurement results, thereby increasing the overall analysis efficiency by approximately 50%.
